Nissan Cube: Uglier than the Aztek?

Me thinks yes.

I saw this thing at an auto show and thought it was just a concept that would never make it to production. Apparently it was the production model. Hideous is an understatement.

"symmetry is so last year." Ummmm no. Symmetry is part of being human. Machines can predict attractiveness of a human face based on symmetry. What makes their designers think cars are any different?

Another thing I love is that they call it a "mobile device." Obviously they're going after people who don't give two craps about how a car drives but rather that it gets one from point A to point B in some sort of style.

People bought scion xbs. People bought honda elements.

This car will sell like hotcakes. America seems to have an obsession with ugly imports these days.

I don't think anything can be as bad as an Asstek. Though this does give it a run for its money.

To be honest..it's so ugly I can't tell the front end from the ass end of that..thing.

Seriously. Is that a shot of the rear, or the front end?

Too british.. Looks like shit. Ford Flex also belongs in this barf bag.

Only thing square should be an RV or Van if you want to camp in it. Or a truck with a camper shell.

Oh they were functional all right. By the numbers they were pretty good and had a number of handy features. Buuuuut the Asstek is the definition of hideous automotive design. Despite being out of production since 2005, new ones were still sold in 2007. I would shoot myself if I worked at a dealership with an Aztek on the lot for 2 years.

The Cube/Element/xB sorta looks like the box it came in. Nothing wrong with a car being cheap and utilitarian, I guess. But the Aztek was just assugly.

I hear you guys on the xB, Element, and Flex. BUT... this just takes it to a new level. The rounded window moldings make me barf. The C pillar only being on the one side is just... wrong.

Wow, so this is what we'll have to look forward to if GM, Dodge, and Ford go under...lunchboxes? I want one with the red interior accents and the pink mood lighting...with "Dark Chocolate" exterior...GAG!

Am I just getting old, or is this the crap the kids want nowadays?
