Why is it that I see most people with new 5 series BMWs treating them like crap?

It's funny how everyone with a camaro, despite the fact that it may be worth half of what luxury cars are, still pamper them and treat them like pure gold. Which is great, but I just wonder why I see people all the time with $60k-80k BMWs that look like they haven't had a car wash for the entire life of the car?

cause people with that type of money dont know vaule of things they buy. As camaro owner does cause he/she had to work and earn for it. IMO And yeah yeah my camaro was handed to me so what?. I wanted a really nice car my whole life. And i finaly got it so i treat it with respect and pride. The people in question (NOT SAYING ALL JUST AS THE OP DESERIBED). Can go buy two more and not even blink. So the car holds no vaule to them thus treat it like crap

They are generally rich, spoiled brats, who never had to work. Those who did work either fell into the money, or made a few runs accross the border with the funny stuff.

Many BMW owners lease as well. Since there is no true ownership, there is also no "perceived" ownership.

We get the same thing over here at Infiniti. I've seen $75,000 QX56s come back for their first service in a matter of 90 days and the car already looks like it took a trip through downtown Beirut.

Some people just don't give a crap.

My dad has an escalade that he never washes anymore. It sits in the driveway, gets sprinkled by the sprinklers every morning, and bakes in the sun most days. The inside is 3x worse than the outside though. He just trashes it, idk why.

I still don't get it.If I was loaded,I would pay someone to come over and detail my ride.My girlfriends son has a $40000 top-of-the line Maxima and it sits in the driveway collecting birdshit and berry juice from the trees. He treated his nice Acura before this car the same way.

Who cares?

It's the target audience man. Most people buy beemers for comfort, convenience, and status- not for love of the car.

Not all wealthy people are careless. I know many that aren't. I think in general Camaro owners are much more careful is because this car is either you love it or hate it type of deal. If you hate it, you won't have one. So that leaves only the ones that love it.
