Might switch to Impala in 2014...

I love my Camaro, I LOVE IT!

But if the new Impala is RWD with the 3.6L 330 hp V6 as rumored, I might make the switch in a few years.

Why you ask?

Because before I bought my Camaro, I wrote down everything I wanted in a car.

Rear wheel drive.
Sporty looks.
Comfort.
Powerful V6 engine.
Under 30K.

The Camaro was the only car that fit into this...at the time.

If the Impala was rear drive, I probably would've bought it because I could use the sedan.

The Camaro was a dream, and it still is. I love it to death, but I'm planning on having a family in a few years, so it may not stand the test of time...

Kudos to GM to reverting back to RWD if it is true!

The only way I see rear wheel drive on the new Impala is if there is a SS variant. And that's a huge "if"!

You could always get a G8. Supposedly GM is going to bring the Commodore over as a Chevy Caprice (currently the GM police car) in 2013 or 2014. Then you could have yer RWD sedan.

Incidentally, your reasoning is why I'm in a Charger right now.

Upcoming Cadillac ATS might fit the bill. Same platform as next gen Camaro with 4 door option.

Get the Camaro. We just bought a 2011 Impala LTZ. The build quality is not near as good as my 2010 Camaro.

Last I heard, there is something scheduled for 2014 that may pique your interest.

VE Commodore = Pontiac G8

Is the Commodore coming to the US?

I would get a G8, but Pontiac is dead, so they won't support it for long. Plus I can't buy a new one....
