$55k for the GC SRT8! Ouch. Can't wait to see what it can do though.

well the Challenger be slower than the Camaro ZL1 and the Ford GT500... so its price should be lower. The engine is still a joke compared to the competition though. They need to pump out over 500 HP for anybody to really buy it for "performance"

Is it me or does that 300 SRT8 look like Chrysler ripped off the Audi front end?

This is where most of the hilarity comes from. I'm deeply disappointed because it will be good. But the last generation SRT was around 3k more than the overland if I recall correctly. This time around the Overland has just as nice of an interior as the srt8, pneumatic shocks, etc, etc, and yet the srt8 is commanding a $12k premium. What are they thinking?

Duh people...by initially charging MORE for their cars Dodge is actually going to be raising the resale values of their cars. Get with the program people.

Um, the Challenger SRT8 is p;riced right between and performs right between them, seems it is priced right? And please don't compare these SRT models to the Camaro, the Camaro is plain out cheaper and smaller in every way. Do some research and you will realizewith everything these cars include and the technology they have they are screaming bargains. Look at it this way, Buicks FWD 4 cylinder Buick GS is supposed to run around 40k and these cars would simply murder it. I am a little little surprised at the grand Cherokee SRT's price, of course the closest vehicles to it are made by Mercedes, BMW, and Porsche and you are looking at at least 30k more and the Grand Cherokee and the new ML even share a platform! So yes, i guess it is a screaming bargain too!

I have to agree, any SRT8 cars I have seen at the track were way to heavy to compete.

Since all SRT8 CHargers and 300s caryy the automatic, I would say you will be seeing a lot of mid 12s..............

Well I didn't mean that the price should be lower than it currently is. It is lower than the GT500 and the speculated 50K price tag of the ZL1. That's what I meant. It is priced low enough. They just need to pump the HP to over 500 to make it even seem like its in the same class. Just because it's bigger doesn't mean people won't want to race it against other 2 door cars... That's my main point. You give it a 470HP engine when you know the competition is putting out 550+HP for their top of the line engines, weight aside, it just seems underwhelming. At least play the numbers game and get the HP past 500.
