WTF is section 8?

I read one of the commentors say that they were on assistance for a time but got off and it really helped her. But she closed by saying she was "NEVER on section 8. EVER"

I'm guessing it's bad?

Closed for what?

Section 8 is government subsidized housing. Basically you pick your place and the government (we tax payers) pays 90% of the rent.

LMAO, One of the girls interveiwed said she needs the voucher to help her with rent because she's a student working three jobs.

Uh............... if you have a job (or three) shouldn't a more needy person get the voucher?

And WTF is 5000 people doing racing for 100 vouchers? LMAO

And over the next four years to be approved?

And even if your approved you may not get assistance for two to four years?

I'm confused. But it's Dallas so I guess I really don't care.

I'm just predicting the politics that may come up. Maybe a preemptive realiziation will curtail any tom foolery.

It's a bullshit abused social welfare system that IF I'd ever agree to any form of, drug tests and daily job app submission would be mandatory and it would be temporary. People abuse this type of assitance for generations some even claim to occupy several residences under different names to get more money. The taxpayer helps pay for these drug riddled gangbanger slums and it's disgusting. It's welfare AND bullshit all at the same time. Sure it may help a few good people though the decent people truly assisted versus the amount of fraud and abuse is staggering. OK go ahead flame. This oughta do it. closed. lol.
