my friend pulled up in his new 2012 Boss 302 mustang to show it off. I hope the ZL1 is fast cause this car is quick.

With a LSA based V8 pushing 550 + super charged hp rearwards.............there will be no worries friend, that it move forwards rapidly, passing your buddy quickly.

Forget the Boss 302, ZL1 has to worry about the 2013 GT500...north of 600hp!

Granted, the Boss or any GT is no slouch. My brothers 2012 GT with a tune and exhaust put down 424rwhp.

i got a ride a couple of weeks ago in a new 5.0 with tune/exhaust/CAI in it runs low 12's, from what I gather the Boss 302 runs that stock, slicks it runs high 11's. Glad I didn't mind to drag race or I would be broke.

i think they call it competetion orange, he really like my inferno orange so he wanted to get the same color.

A Mustang friend of mine told me that some new design engine the Mustang is using is having some kind of heavy noise/clanging issue thats not understood yet. Lotsa pissed off new owners.

So could have bought one of those, or any other car - but went with the 5th gen Camaro 'cause it also had the looks that imho just don't quit. Doesn't even need to be running to get lots of attention!

heard of some issues as well, but just like everything else there are some bad ones. Inside is kind of boring, actually liked the camaro's better, and although it does have a pretty aggressive front end, camaro still looks better.

Did he let you drive it? I got to drive one at work with the track key active. I don't believe Boss owners will get an active track key until September. It is a completely different animal with the red key. With the side exhaust open and the timing changed/idle the car sounds like a full blown race car. Turns heads for sure.

I never drove it, I don't like driving other people's cars, especially one like this. Unsure about the track key, he showed it to me but never said if it was active or not. It sounded good when he left with the normal key so can just imagine what it would sound like with the track key.

Lucky friend...that is a sweet car. I love all of the muscle cars coming out right now. The 392 and the Boss 302 would look great next to my Camaro.
