Pulled over first the first time .

Coming home from the lake this weekend and was passing a "slow" moving car . Got passed it and as I get around him I notice a State Trooper . Well I start slowing down as I knew I would get pulled over and the ligth start flashing . Pulls me over ,asked for license registration insurance stated that in Minnesota there is a 10mph break they gove when you are passing a car . but not a 25mph break . I said I apologise I know I was speeding just did not realise how fast I was going . He said you were going 82 in a 55 .He went back to his patrol car and when he came back he asked before I give you this what gear were you in when you were passing , said 4th and he just grinned and said nice car ! Here is your warning !!! I said thank you very much . He said next time go a little slower when trying to get the dust off yoru car . Lucky he was a Camaro fan .

Lucky you. That was nice of him to give you a break. Wonder what he would have done if you were driving a mustang.

Very cool officer. You got lucky though. Could have been a big ticket.

Wow a break going 82. I got 83 in a 65 on I95 cost me close to 400$ 3pts and had to take drivers class. You were extremely lucky!

I've been a police officer for 22 years, if you saw me you'd say no way, if you saw the things I like, listen to your head would spin. Police officers are just like the general public, not all of us are a-holes. I've given tons of breaks for ridiculous things in my years, a little respect goes a long way, not for everyone but it does help. One thing I've done though, I have written other cops that have disrespected me. Honor and respect.

27 MPH over the limit, [no ticket] and he asked what gear you were in?

I call bullshit.

That is awesome! I hate cops in my town. Not all of them, but many of them are constantly speeding and in my opinion think that they are above the law.

Now if they had their lights on, I would obviously understand, but I'm referring to when they don't.

Many times cops (in Gainesville at least) don't put on blinkers, I've been cut off by cops, I've been going speed limit and see a cop with no lights just blast 10 - 15 mph over the speed limit past me. It's just annoying for these things to happen.

Nice to know that there are people who pull over even cops.
