See, now THAT's the number I care about...I really don't like year-over-year statistics until the whole year is over....nevertheless -- still VERY impressive!!

Comparing sales from the same period the year before is critical in business because sales are cyclical in nature (pick a product). Monthly sales will drop versus the month prior at some point but that will not necessarily mean that the company is faltering.

Couple highlights...
Cadillac CTS is currently the best selling luxury sedan in America. Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Cadillac, and Buick have all surpassed Lexus in sales in the luxury market. Best month ever for Regal at 3705 units. Some updates planned for 2012 when Regal transitions over to Oshawa. eAssist and GS models on the way, reworked 2.0T coming soon. LaCrosse outsells ES350 by a wide margin. Camaro still holding the lead in the pony car market. Cruze shaking up the compact segment, only a couple hundred units behind the Civic without a coupe or hybrid model. Malibu still holding strong in the midsize market. 281 Volts sold this month compared to Nissan's 67 Leafs. GM has delivered 928 Volts since launch, compared to Nissan's 163 leafs. GM dominating the midsize and full size crossover segments.

I just heard on autoline that the Aveo managed to outsell the Yaris. Its not a terribly important battle, but it seemed pretty funny to me
