Skunk hit the house...

And it smells.... Everything smells the house. the cloths, the dogs, the couches, me and my fiancee, the dogs (one of them who got skunked) everything. Its almost unbearable. Tomatoes sauce and hydrogen peroxide. And I have tried everything from the candles and oils and vinegar and baking soda and ground coffee and disinfectant sprays.
PLEASE FOR GOD SAKES HELP ME !! :(

I know your pain, been there a few times.

What I found works best, pour a whole box of dry baking soada into the dog, rub it in good [helps grab the oils] Then a whole bottle of vinegar for the "rinse" gotta use it all, if its a med to large dog, 2 of each. Can't skimp on that part, the action of the bubbling strips the oils.

boil vinegar on the stove to help the air.

Been there as well, when I was in high school. A skunk sprayed my cat and he ran right away to my room! Well...need I say more???

Unfortunately, we had to wash everything, even all the clothes...and yes, you will smell like a skunk for awhile! Sorry about that!

The smell will eventually subside....eventually!

If you have one, turn your A/C off in the house !!! (although it might be too late now).

Our dog got skunked at 10pm one night and I was still outside at 2am scrubbing her off.

Tomato juice? Don't bother.
Baking soda/peroxide mix worked the best.

But, any clothes I was wearing at the time got dumped. And the next thing we did was turn the A/C off. Why? Because it would haved pumped the smell all around the house!

Two things I've never seen while living in East North Carolina:

1) Skunks
2) Chipmunks

I don't miss the skunks though - got a smell you'll never forget.

Good Luck..

Try washing your house in tomato juice; it always worked when my dogs troubled one of them striped devils.
