NEED HELP
I was replacing the spark plugs on my 1999 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3 L V8. I successfully removed 7 of the 8, the passenger side back spark plugs is &$@#@$%$.! I had barely enough room for 5/8 socket and socket wrench, not to mention less than 1 inch to to work the wrench. I tried and tried and tried and just couldn't get it to budge...then vwalla it moved....well it didnt take long to figure out why, the plug nut, not the plug itself, sheered off the plug leaving the plug in its hole and nothing to grab it with.
![]() WHAT DO I DO? I need my car for monday to go to work, I can't miss or I will get fired (fire acadamey with no miss policy)? is there anything that i can do?

where in Texas are you? I have no idea how to fix it, but my neighbor is a mechanic who works from home. If you are close to Garland and want his number, let me know.

thanks but i went back to to try one more time and even though I tore the nut off, it broke free just enough before it sheered off to use my fingers....pheeww, i think it is time to go to windstar casino my luck just proved exponentially, maybe i can win enough to afford a camaro.
. I do wonder what you would have to do though. the only thing i could think of was to remove the cylinder head but then that just left me with no passenger side cylinder head and the plug still stuck.

thats a very common problem with fords. If there is room you can drill it out. If there isnt enough room you pull the head.
