Yeah, I know. Still...a tricked out Shelby blowing up on the Dyno isn't something you see every day...

"Is it out?"

Oh yeah, it's out!

That's a shame, could happen to anyone. But is sure sounded like it would have been extremely fast.

Ouch...that was an expensive experiment. Yeah...it's out...the side of the block!

Anyone who knocks Ford on this is an A$$. That could happen to any manufacturer. That was a beautiful car. Sounded great.

Looks like an excuse to go bigger to me.

Don't get me wrong...I appreciate fast cars. I personally would never buy a Ford because I've always been a Chevy/Dodge fan and NASCAR rules state that if I like Chevy/Dodge, I must give Ford owners crap about it. Doesn't mean I don't respect Fords (much).

Mmm, nose full of coffee. That seriously reminded me of a cross between when my cats explosively cleaned themselves out and choked out the air pressure operator behind the car and this one s**tstain (because it physically looked like one) that had an injector and MAF setup so off that it nearly shat gas out the tailpipe.

May be the case here but with more.. interesting results. Of course my experience was just some dumbass college kids thinking they made their 285K mile GT that much faster.

Still, poor 327.. :(

If you watch the second part of the video from behind the car - watch the shift light...lights do not get any brighter than that for that long...and he was still winding it out long after after the light came on.

That's because for a PROPERLY setup shift light, the light does not come on where you want to shift at. You factor in reaction time.

Say for instance, you want to shift at 6000 rpms

Most people will set their shift lights at 5600-5700, because in 1st and 2nd gear, rpms climb very fast, and by the time you react, it is already 6000 rpms.

The side effect to this is that on the top of 3rd gear and 4th gear, the shift light will be on for a longer period of time.... but since the rpms are climbing a lot slower, you can watch the tach closer. The pull was obviously in 4th gear, so the light should be on for a good bit.
