so today im jus minding my own business on my lunch at work..and decide that its time for a refill on my gas..so i drive to shell get my gas..as im driving bak getting ready to pull into my work i get pulled over by a motorcycle cop..he gives me shit about my tail lights and window tint...and at first was a lil bit of a dick but since i was actin cool he was being cool afterwards too..so after he writes me the ticket and hands it to me..i get ready to pull away and he starts laughing after getting off his mic..he asks me to roll down my window and says..BTW no hard feelings now..my partner says your cars "fukn bad ass"..

yeah that is cool to hear that, but getting ticket is gay. What was it for? the tints? And if so isnt that a fix-it statute?

As stated in previous posts... a motorcycle cop pulls you over...plan on a ticket. 99.9% they write a ticket on a pullover! Guaranteed. At least he recognizes a quality car when he sees one.

Ummm sure don't see it as harassment. He was enforcing the law. No need to go into the California laws here as there is a whole thread about them. I got pulled over for the tint in my other car and the CHP that pulled me over saw my work jacket and ID and said..."hit the road, but get it fixed or I WILL write you." That weekend the tint came OFF. No more "harassment".

I truly am sorry we live in California which is now a POLICE STATE. Funny thing is... today I was in rush hour traffic and a black 300M cuts in front of me and hit her brakes. I almost hit her why? I couldn't see her blacked out tailights in the bright sunlight!!!! It looks cool but it is UNSAFE and if you get hit with tinted lenses you are probably going to end up in a court case even though they ran into you. Just saying...

I always obey tint laws within a % or two and get a sticker saying it's legal as well. . . usually works. 3% or 5% limo tint is legal on all back windows here and for the front sun strip, 20% on the doors and I usually go 18% or 17% to 15% if I can find one of those in a nice metal grade. Before I apply the front side tint I apply a small sticker saying its legal 20% and in compliance. Never had a cop meter me, ever. 17% is what I prefer to run on my doors. . . 15% is pushing it a little.

tail light tint is stupid if it's too dark. I had some riced out murdered out charger in front of me not too long ago, whose tail lights were so dark you couldn't tell when he was braking.

anyways, he had a little honda fit in front of him and he was tail gating the hell out of him. I didn't know that. apparently the fit slammed on his brakes and the charger braked a little bit then swerved to the next lane to avoid hitting him. of course, I couldn't see his brakes, so i didn't know to react until the charger moved over and revealed the fit, who was almost at a stop at this point .. yeah, thanks. almost rear ended the poor little bastard.

hope your tail light tint isn't as dark as that douchebags was.

instead of complaining about the 'DAM COPS', why don't you take some responsibility, admit to yourself that you have illegal mods on your car, accept the consequences and either fix it or pay the ticket and move on?

my window tint is past the legal limit. you won't see me crying on the forums if I get ticketed for it.

Off the subject... I read you use Shell Gas.
A lot of guys on here are saying don't use it.

Sucks that you got caught with (illegal?) tints, but at least the partner likes the car. Good thing you were being polite, otherwise I'm sure it could have been a lot worse.

I have tint from new mexico and i get shit from it. The sucky thing for me is that mine was a dealer addon

I always follow everything when it comes to laws like tints, etc...never wanted to have reasons to get a ticket.
