Welcoming another Chevy to the household!

I give you Bessie. It was my Grandpa's replacement for his old Merc. Land Yacht back in '06. Bought it off lease and I don't think he put more than 5K miles on it. Unfortunately after his vision took a turn for the very worse (he's almost blind now) and coupled with his current condition it was decided (him included) to just pass it to one of his grandkids who could put it to better use. My brother was tapped since his car (soon to be my beater/zany project II) aka my first car is about to give up the ghost.

It's not much. Base trim, but dayum is it a cruiser. All it's missing is a Northstar V8 or a SC Series III 3800.

60/40 power split bench, column shifter.. just needs a bit of cleaning and 'old driver' body work to look like it just rolled off the lot back in '04.

I can safely say that if I ever found a clean one myself, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat. Some may have hated GM during the '00s but this car is just one of those vehicles that say.. "ya know.. it's got it's own charm for a domestic blah-mobile".

looks like a real nice car, I have an 07 Impala SS and I love it, and it is very quick.

Last-gen Impalas are still damn good cars.

Gotta love the massive fuel and temp gauges.

3.4L Buick. 3.8 went on the LS models and I think the Series II/III SC rounded out the top end SS.

I'd so dig an SS.. I can't say enough how nice a car this thing is. Brother agrees and can't wait to hand off the Monte Carlo in the coming weeks. I told him though if he trades it in on a truck, it's gotta be a Silverado or Sierra. Otherwise his ass is mine..

I had an 2000 Impala Police car. There not bad little cars, comfortable, and enough Grunt for a DD. Clean impala! Itel do its job well.

Bump for departure of one Chevy and the return of another.

I shall finally give it a name after 8 years. "Chew Toy"

Pics of it's decrepit shape when the sunlight pops back out in 9 hours or so..
