Everyone is all hyped up over the Nissan Skylines yet nobody knows about any Skylines other than the recent ones. Heres a rarity to share with you guys:

i hate how nissan just ignored the skyline name with the new gt-r. when u meantion skyline to someone they know its a beast car. the older skyline's were pretty wicked. im still a huge fan of the r34.
how old is this car tho. was it even a nissan back than lol or was it a datsun?

o and that supra in the back their is simply FLAWLESS!!.

I absolutely agree. It's BS that they are only calling it a GT-R. I was extremely surprised that they omitted skyline. Whats worse is that they are only doing it for specific countries. I have seen pics from other countries like ...ahem...Japan still calling it a skyline. And yes the R34's were badass looking.

+1. the skyline moniker should've been carried over... it's the whole essence of godzilla. every ricer honda & toyota have either Type-R or GT-R badges.

Perhaps the reason they did not use the Skyline moniker for the GT-R is because its being used on another car in Japan. Its what we call a G35 here in the states.

the new G37s are just the LHD version of the V36 Skylines in Japan. same with the G35 and the V35 Skyline. the GT-R is basically just an aggressively-styled V36, so that's why i think it should share the Skyline name

Whether or not its officially called a skyline, people still refer to the R35 as a Skyline
