New member. Just picked up an '11 2SS RS this evening. I traded in an 07 Silverado Duramax LBZ that was far from stock. Kinda hurts to see it go considering I've had 3 of them.

I've been a truck guy the last decade, only driving Duramaxes and modding the crap out of them. I'm not new to forums. I own my own site actually and have been heavily involved in forums since 2003.

I've been reading the stickies for several hours now and it's chock full of good info. I'm more or less interested in intakes, exhausts and a tune, eventually. I haven't driven a vehicle stock, well, I cant remember when. I'll keep reading. The attached dyno sheets are awesome.

This car is fast. My truck was a torque monster and would embarrass 90% of traffic on the road, with plates, but this thing is a different animal. I know diesels. The last gas burner that I spend a fortune on was a '94 9C1 Caprice. That ended up running a 12.8 @101.

It sounds awesome but could use a healthier note. I'm really surprised how quiet this thing is. I'm really looking for a quiet (Borla Touring) down the road though but it seems that the stock mufflers are good for up to around 600 h.p. I also see that the stock intake flows plenty well and gains are minimal. I'll keep reading.

Anyways, I'm originally from Syracuse NY and currently live out on the gulf coast in sunny Florida. I just broke 200 miles out and about tonight and I look forward to learning a ton about these things.

Nick, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
