If you get a ticket in Md and the officer puts a wrong address on it, is this grounds for dismissle. My license has wrong address put MVA issued me a correct address card which I handed the officer and he still put wrong address on ticket.

Doubtful... You would have to read the ticket and see what it says... Here, citations say you have 14 days from the issuance of the citation to either pay the fine or set up a court date, failure to do either will result in the issuance of an arrest warrant....

Your best bet would be to contact an attorney and ask them about specific MD laws reference this... I highly doubt you will get out of the citation based on that though...

That is a thing of the past now. Its the officers word that rules overall.

I have heard of tickets being dismissed with incorrect license plate #,,,,but do not know about address....however if you have time..go to night court for traffic tickets,,sit there for a while and see how the system works...VERY VERY,,,informative (besides being funny) the excuses people use..haha..and you may get your answer there...good luck,,, but i would as i alsways do...fight it...you have no more to lose and more to gain..later ryd

About halfway down this page, it says that minor items like address will not affect the overall ticket because it identifies you (the driver) and the vehicle. If the license plate number or drivers license number is wrong, then perhaps you can get out of it.

I can tell you that Corvette's prefer Dogs. My roommate has killed 3 cats in the past year and a half. The last cat had the last laugh though, took a half dollar size chip out of his paint on the front of the bumper.

No. Only requirements are tag or vin (some states vehicle color to confirm it was the same vehicle stopped as the vehicle to which the citation was given), location of occurrence, and DL #. If those are correct he could write pretty much anything else in the remaining boxes and be fine.

If you lie to the officer and provide him an incorrect personal address, you then win the case?
