How to 0-60

What the easiest way to get the best 0-60 time. Turn off nannies?, leave in drive?, track mode-sport mode? What does everyone do?

Try launch control mode.

I don’t think any of that matters for 0-60 as much as rolling into the throttle to transfer weight to the rear to put as much power down as possible.

Launch control if you aren't trying to chase 1/10ths / duplicate what the car rags get. Remember those guys beat the shit outta those cars and have cumulative 1000's of launches. When it's your car and your money on the line, you tend to err to the side of caution.

With my 50th 'vert I was able to get down to 4.4s. On unprepped streets with UHP A/S tires and a M6, I'll take that. There are very few cars that are able to duplicate those 'best' numbers on the street. Go to YT and look up videos of people trying to do it, and you'll see your average joe can't do it.

Unless I missed a mode, the problem with launch control is once you launch and shift, traction kicks in and kills power when shifting into second and so on. Maybe I just need better tires >.<

I've got a blower on my 2SS... I never get better than 4.0 seconds 0-60 on the street even with drag radials (no burnout and no street prep). Typical is about 4.2. Nannies off, rolling on about 30-60% throttle until 40 mph, then WOT.

Tires and pavement are the limiting factor more than anything you can do with the car on the street.

Ive had "launch issues" with torque mgmt on the dragstrip, but so far getting 3.0-3.1 sec 0-60. Im betting that ill get sub 3 sec 0-60 once torque management sorted. Hopefully already is, just haven't retested at the track yet.

Point being, 0-60 on the street is a bit pointless. I dont even get WOT traction until 40+ mph.

I use 40-90 mph times as a more practical way to measure changes with mods.

For my build with MTETSR - Track mode, TC off, manual mode 2nd gear (although I might give 1st gear another shot), barely engage the throttle to say 1000 rpm, roll to WOT in say 1.0 sec., my last 0-60 in April was +/- 2.01 sec. per HPT.

I found the launch control to be terrible. Put the suspension in tour mode, select sport mode, foot on the brake, bring the revs to between 1500 and 2000 rpm and launch. Mid 3 to 60 mph, low 11’s for the ¼ on unprepared surface. Search the forum there’s lots of good advice.

My best is 3.7 on regular asphalt just mashing the pedal in track mode. 2019 ZL1 1LE A10.
