Zl1 rear park assist/ back up camera
Sorry if this is a stupid question I just figured this was place to get an 100% accurate answer. Do all 2015 zl1 come with rear park assist/back-up camera standard?

Yes - and new for the '15's is the yellow guide lines that show up on the view screen.

Do you know if the 13'-14' can get the guidelines with a software update? Thanks.

There were some threads on this when gm started offering this on the camaro's so do a search on this forum. If I remember [but don't bet on it] I believe it is not possible to do what you are asking. But again I am not sure.

You are actually better off buying an aftermarket camera with the guidelines already added. They show up much better than the guidelines on the 2015. I might even buy an aftermarket camera to get those improved guidelines.

Honestly....if you have to read those lines in the backup camera to move your car in reverse then you have issues. lol
I don't use the backup camera in my wife's traverse.... or my Camaro. The camera is only good for a quick look to make sure there is nobody or anything behind you before you start moving. Once you start to move you should be "looking" behind you and using your mirrors.

I don't soley rely on those lines to back up. I just like to be straight and centered when I park. It's just a guide like it's supposed to be. It's easier than tilting the side mirrors down each time or opening the door to make sure I'm straight. And if you tell me you 've never had to tilt your mirrors down or opened the door to see if your are straight then I'm calling you a liar :P our cars are wide and sometimes difficult to see out. I just like to be straight and centered. I'm ocd like that.

I like being straight too. Oh wait, you are talking about your car, take some tape and make your own lines on your screen! Genius?
