Inner door panel arm rest removal
I already have a thread in DIY and HOW TO, no luck with any replies, has anybody here removed the arm rests, if so how did you do it, I haven't had the time to work on panels to do the custom job I want to do, any help is greatly appreciated.
I've attached 2 pics of front and back of door panel showing the arm rest, I've heard people say drill out all those holes on the back? |

Looks like it's maybe welded and one piece. I couldn't find any of these interior arm rest panels on ebay, aside from the entire inner door assembly.

I got 2 of these panels off ebay, asked the parts seller if they would disassemble a driver and passenger door panel, as I only needed the 2 inner panels, they said yes, now I just gotta get the arm rests off, either drill out all the holes on the back of panel or cut off the back panel lip that has all the holes, I may end up taking panels to an upholstery shop and see if they can get arm rests off. |

The entire panel is plastic welded to the door trim, I’d imagine the armrest is also plastic welded or plastic riveted. Either way, you should be able to drill them out.
