Unable to reply to Private Messages, sometimes

Hello, I have had it happen a lot lately that if I get a private message and try to reply back, it won't let me type. I click in the reply space and nothing happens.

my next step is to open a different browser, sometimes this works.

My last step that seems to work every time is to use my phone to reply.

Any suggestions? I am using chrome, then will use microsoft edge
