My mom gave me something

My mom decided to give me something today,my dad's work jacket. It has so many memories,I remember as a little girl wearing it.My dad worked at a GM dealership 1978 to 1994,he was killed in a hunting accident when I was 15 years old September 1994 at the age of 40 and was his fault. He put the rifle which was loaded, the trigger part into a tree branch and pushed down which went off.He was shot in the chest and killed instantly. She had it in her closet for a long time and decided I deserved it.My dad was a good man in life,a loving father and husband.I do have something from him,I can be stubborn.Plus I am doing what it is right,he bought a 1969 Nova 5 weeks before his death and was going to give it to me after fixing it up was his plan.I am fixing it up the way I want it done after pulling it out after being in the garage 20 years.I know that he will be smiling looking down seeing this done.I plan on having the GM logo and Irish flag air brushed in loving memory of him inside the glove box door.He came from Ireland with my mom in 1966 with family.

Sorry to hear of your loss. It's a great thing taking that old car out and having fun with it. I'm sure that's what your father meant for you to do with it. He should be proud. Cars are such a great thing. Brings us back to people we have lost and good times we have lost and cherished.

Thank you! And yea, my dad wasn't around after I turned 6 ! I see him now that I can drive too him! But after my mom passed I lived with my granny and then with close friends of the family! Worse time of my life dealing with family and the friends of the family! So yea, you're lucky , definitely enjoy bugging them! I wish that I could bug my mom because her and my grandmother was the only ones that I was close with!
