What do you think would be a good car choice?

Im planning on getting a new car next year and I'd like to know what you guys think about it. New or Lightly used, I'd like to stay right at or below $30,000.

I know what I want out of a car, but I dont know which car would offer the most of my wants and needs....

Now, I love the camaro. I love all muscle cars really. V8's are my favorite engines and for a long time, It's all I considered driving. I thought about if I got a new SS, I'd be paying 35-40K for a car that I can't really use to its full potential. Other than taking it to a track, which I most likely wouldnt do often, I'd have $40,000 bragging rights really.... Correct? Im' sure it's great to drive and all.. but thinking about that got me looking into "sporty" cars with a little less HP.

I want something that gets around 25mpg, is FUN to drive (by fun, I dont mean just fast) handles good, holds it's value well but also has some "get up and go" to it.

Let me share with you, my choices and the cars I've THOUGHT about.

Honda Fit (dont even start with me on this one LOL); It's a sport looking, roomy, gas saving fun car. I've got to drive one before for a short time and it seemed to handle turns really good and decent speeds. Now, it's not going to be a rocket, or anything that's really fast at all off the line.. But I did like the feel of it and it's price tag is nice too.


Honda Civic Si, just a sporty, "peppy" car that has decent power.


Mazda Speed3

I like the Lancer Evo's also but they are really pushing that $30K limit though, but are super nice.
