Friendly mustang driver

I was driving to work yesterday behind what appeared to be a mustang GT, however once I got a closer look I noticed the emblem on the trunk didn't say GT. At the next light I pulled up beside him and gave a friendly wave. The driver rolled down his window and asked if I had the SS or the RS, and I replied SS. I asked him what type of mustang he was driving and he replied "this is my son's bullet mustang, and I drive an RS Camaro" After we had talked for a minute or so, the light turned green and we drove off. As I took my exit to work, I gave a wave out my window.. It's nice to run into friendly people once in awhile while you're driving

Anyone know how the bullet mustang differs from others?

How would have answered that question if you had a SS RS?

Guy probably saw his 20 inchers and assumed SS (either of the 2), or LT with RS, thus the question "SS or RS?".

I like the cleaner look of the Bullitts. No fake hood scoop, no ricer wing, no fog lights in the grille. They came in a dark green metallic or black and had dark gray wheels. Suspension was lowered, had a factory CAI & a different exhaust set-up.

I ran into a really nice guy at a gas station a little while ago as well. He had a '10 GT that was custom two toned. Black top half with a candy red bottom half and white pin stripe around it. VERY sharp lookin' car. We chatted for a while about our cars. It was nice to run into someone just genuinely interested in cars. No rivalry garbage.

The bullits had a little more power as well I believe Ford made that standard in2010 until the 11's came out.

From the rear, the faux gas cap on the back will say Bullitt on it and be a different style than the ones on the GTs or V6s. Also, no wing.

From the front, it will not have fog lights or the pony emblem on the grille, just the headlights.

similar thing happend to me a few weeks ago. Was driving home from work on a friday and a red challenger r/t pulled up on the highway next to me as we waved and gave thumbs up to eachother. Drove side by side and took turns leading the fast lane for about 30-40 miles. Was kinda cool finally to not have someone come up on ur ass, rev the engine, and wanna race every other mile.

It's actually a "Bullitt" Mustang, named after the Steve McQueen epic

As far as I know it's just got some factory bolt-on upgrades for some added grunt.

Mustang owners are not all the a$$e$ that some would make us out to be. Well....I am, but not all are. When my car got spray painted, you should have seen the insurance guy trying to figure out what kind of Mustang had my gas cap.
