2002 Nisaan Pathfinder transmission service
It's nearing 60K miles and a recommended transmission service. Of course the mechanic recommends doing a flush but I read conflicting info on doing this.
A flush would replace all 14 quarts, while a drain and fill only about 5. The fluid looks and smells ok, and I am having no issues. So, should I just do a drain and fill or go through with the flush. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. |

more or less depends on how it has been driven. It used for towing or lots of stop and go, uphill/downhill, I would do the flush. What the manual say for 60k miles tranny service?

If it was my car, I would just do the standard tranny service. They will always try to sell the more expensive flush job to you, more $ for them but beware of some shops, you pay for a complete flush and all they do is the standard job.

Thanks, I'll just do a drain and fill.
