And its not of a Suburban. Its a Yukon XL. The easy way to tell is Yukons have GMC on the front. Show me an actual picture or video of the presidential convoy with those and I will believe it. Till then . . .

I call BS. That vid is pretty old and a couple years ago I watched GWB's motorcade drive by from a second story window about 15 feet from the road shortly after seeing the video. There were several black Suburbans/Yukons, but none of them had doors on the roof.

How many rounds per second can that thing fire? Never seen anything shoot so fast.

How much do you think a Yukon with all that would weigh? How much extra horsepower would it need to make up for added weight and structure changes?

3000-4000 rounds/min I think

Its easy to add a couple thousand pounds to a vehicle when armoring it. But the gun, turret, and ammunition would weigh 500 lbs in and of itself so the truck wouldn't notice. If going armored, it would probably be better to swap the engine for a diesel.

actually, the 6.0L and 6.2L iron blocks they have stock are pretty bad ass in and of themselves. even when adding an extra ton to the vehicle.

Chances are any attempt on him would be from a long ways away, it just doesn't seem viable.

+1

not to mention the civilian casualty rate with that gun would be way beyond acceptable risk!

Mythbusters has used that gun a couple of times (sawing trees in half and fish in a barrel). The Dillon mini-gun fires 3000 rds/min of .30 ammo. They didn't say which particular .30 it uses- they just said "30 caliber" and there are a lot of "30 caliber" bullets. Look em up online, I think they cut down a 2 foot tree in right at 1 minute and set it on fire. I love that show
