On the verge of a huge mistake?

With all the uncertainty flying around about our beloved cars I decided to go out this weekend and see what the market had to offer. I drove a G8 GT. I thought I would be more impressed with this car, the fact is I just wasn't. There was no excitement about it, it wasn't really that fast and just over all boring and dry. The I went next door and drive two Challengers. A R/T and The SRT8. Very impressed with the SRT. I fell in love with it. I have heard several member slam the challengers interior on here. I for one thought it was awsome. Navigation, 30GB hard drive, HD radio, the seats are the best I have ever sat in and the car sounds amazing. My only fear is that I will buy it and regret it when I see a SS running around town. Love dodge or hate them there is no denying that they in fact have made a beautiful car. I just dont know if I can justify the 45K price tag on it. I have decided to give it a few weeks to think it over so as not to make a impulse by....but damn I love that car.

I have loved and owned Camaros my whole life and I really think the 5th Gen will be special, but I am so tired of the waiting game. I need a new car very soon. decisions decisions huh

I think I drove those cars expecting to leave the lot saying, screw this I will wait for the Camaro. I did say that leaving Pontiac, but not so much leaving the dodge dealer

hard choices these days. . . I sold my Dodge SRT-4 to pay off my Dodge NITRO. . . My first thought was picking up a SRT-8 Challanger. . .untill I seen the price. . . I'm getting a decked out 2SS-RS out the door for less than 40k. . . the couple months with out a "toy car" will not hurt me to much. . .

I do have to agree about the Challanger's interior comments though. . . owning the srt-4 and my Nitro i expected a lot higher quality out of a 45k car for the interior. . . it just isn't there. . . It's nice but it, 25k Dodge Nitro nice. . .

I would say Wait until the camaro comes out then drive both of them and compare them
if your in dire need of a car buy whatever you want to buy

If you have time to buy a car and you already have a car that works i would say wait for the camaro and then test the camaro and the challenger side by side then make up your mind on what car you want

If your gonna buy a challenger its cool with we are not going to hate you for it.

don't race any 2009 camaro ss if you buy the challenger

also... you will only have to wait to see the interior of the camaro until the end of april - early march. . . suppose to be a v6 model in show rooms by then.

i'm with the idea of waiting til you can drive both the SRT & SS back-to-back. that will be the best way for you to personally see which you like better.

Drive both sounds right. Get whatever you like the best.

I agree- the dodge sounds awesome. You sure don't see a bunch of them out there either. Glad you didn't take the advice of the self proclaimed experts on here and tried it for yourself. Any thought of driving a Bullet Mustang or 370Z?

If you can hold out just a little longer, then I would wait until the Camaro is out and at least take it for a drive. You owe it to yourself.
