Other thing i've noticed about the 5.0s is they are easier to drive at the track than a Camaro. I see the new 5.0 guy start out in the 13s, even upper 13s and after a few runs he's solidly in the 12s... Newbie SS guys start in the 14s and even after running all day only manage mid to maybe low 13s...
And heck, right now, my bolt-on V6 Mustang is running mid-13s... still have some work to do... but come Fall it should be running as fast as most of the SC'd V6 Camaros on the Fast List... and i'm on all season tires!  |
That is why you race them in the middle of summer, superchargers are affected as much as N/A. Gears will help the low end punch which is why I believe 3.91's will be a great upgrade for IPF Superchargers. I will have to do it and prove what they can do though.
