Could've been because people couldn't afford them (monthly payment / insurance), traded a V6 for a V8, too much car to handle, too much of a "pillbox" experience, got bored with them. I suppose, it really doesn't matter. If there are that many 5th Gen's sitting, there's less incentive for a dealer to want to cut a deal - I suppose. Then again, if your dealer doesn't have any sitting, that's a good thing.
