From my understanding trq mgmt is there to save wear and tear on the drivetrain. So you can turn it off but expect some accelerated wear on the drive train. I have seen guys picking up tenths on there 60' times by increasing the allowable torque in the trq mgmt tables especially with drag radials. But again all of that shock load can cause increased wear on drive train components especially if your increasing power from factory.

Im still learning tuning so take this with a grain of salt.
