Well to start, 3 of those last 4 years were basically COVID, when you either couldn't get parts, paint, or a car in general. Hell, even in 2024 they ran into a combination of strikes and part issues.
So let's cut to the real issues then....
1.) There were a good portion of customers who literally hated that the 6th gen looked like the 5th gen.
2.) GM made literally no effort to sell the car via advertisement or discounts
3.) GM made no effort to bump HP to combat their competition while their competition bumped HP and offered more HP options.
4.) Car was simply over spec'd and over priced compared to stripper models for the Mustang/Challenger. Instead of offering the models like they did with the 5th gen, they chased too much money...
5.) GM cares way too much about the Corvette, not realizing they are pricing themselves out of market by a lot of normal people. This is going to cost them both customers and interest in other models as well.

I'll also add that while they clearly made the best performance car in the class, and one of the best performance to dollar cars ever built it wasn't great as a car. People always seem to forget that the V-8 powered cars in this segment, only make up like 25 to 30% of the total volume. Someone looking at the V8 trims can over look some of the things people like to nit pick, like the trunk opening/size space inside visibility etc. They can over look those because the performance is so insane. Someone looking at the entry trims, isn't going to over look those things and unfortunately those customers are the ones that make up the bulk of the volume.
