Big thanks to those of you who have chosen to protect your headlights with our products! For those of you who might not, we had a couple of questions recently regarding putting a headlight protection film on both new and older headlights - vs waxing or ceramic coating them, refinishing options and why headlight protection film is important. Some thoughts:

A headlight protection film like our Headlight Armor is the best way to go over the long term. A spray on protectant is not going to do anything to prevent pitting of the factory hard coat. The pitting of the factory coating is the main reason most older headlight look hazy - once the factory finish starts to erode degradation starts. Applying Headlight Armor protects the factory hard coat - or a refinished clear coat. If you simply refinish and recoat the headlight without protecting it from impacts, the process of erosion starts again.

On and older headlight the adhesive will tend to fill in some of the existing pitting netting you a clearer headlight.

As always, let us know if you have any questions.
