So I had a little time on my hands while going through emails and still a little pissed about the unforeseen price increase. So if the 2014 Corvette model year has a possible production of 30,000 units and they have built approx. 16,000 units before the price increase, that leaves approx. 14,000 units till years end. 14,000 X $2,000.00 = $28,000,000.00. I know, I had to do the math twice to make sure I was doing it right. Then you take 75% of the 14,000 units gives you 10,500 units. The Z51 option is being ordered on approx. 75% of 2014 Corvettes. 10,500 x $1,200.00 = $12,600,000.00 for a combined total of $40,600,000.00. So how many you you still believe the increase is solely based "to reduce demand"? Remember that there is NOTHING being added to the 2014 model other than the price increase, this is just a pure profit increase. I am really going to need some heavy duty lube for this one. I wonder if they can do a Colonoscopy while they are in there? I have to try to save some money somewhere.
