(I agree with previous posters that it's likely that it's not even a Hellcat... to a typical "journalist," any FCA product is probably a Hellcat. Heck, half of the people at work think I drive a Mustang.)

I'd blame the cops before the reporter, seeing as the article states "police said was in a stolen white Dodge Hellcat"
If the cop can't tell the difference, and the reporter doesn't care to double check the fine details (because those details are ultimately unimportant to the actual story) ... its not really a failure on the part of the reporter.
