Go back and re-read the bold, I said it went away. If you want to consider anything fast from after 1971 up to 1987 because thats when the government killed anything with large displacement and power. And yes the SS SLP option came with 20(Looking at the 97 model) more stock hp so spec wise yes its greater in power. For someone to have been into Camaros for decades you sure are missing a lot of information.
