Id did get a chance to look at a friend of mines vortex strike eagle in 1-4x24 over the weekend. The only bad thing is the mag ring is super stiff. Then I found out you can use the quick levers anyways.
I did look into Leupold as that has always been a good scope but in this style I am looking at, I do not think they have kept up in the market.

I have the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24 on my AR and a Vortex Venom 6MOA on my Browning BuckMark. Both are very good pieces.
