I put 28 rds through a short, FA .300 blk in Vegas a few years back...the extent of my .300 blk experience. About 1.75 seconds worth of experience.
That said...I don't get the lure of the round for simply a Range toy. It IS somewhat useable as a hunting round. But there are a few far more powerful rds available to hunt deer or pigs.
As a Range toy...just shoot a .223 or get a pistol caliber carbine.
As a suppressed round in some Special Forces/Seal Team 6 scenario...I can absolutely see it's purpose. Just too much BS in the reloading process for me.
This is not meant to piss anyone off...just me thinking out loud. Everyone is entitled to whatever cartridge they wish.
BTW...I was at an indoor Range when I shot the FA .300 blk and the floor was literally 2-3 inches deep in commercial .300 blk brass. Considering having to cut cases, FF, etc. I always thought all that brass under foot was funny.
