I get that.
But in the real world... the world where the word "faster" is commonly used to describe completing a task in a shorter period of time than someone or something else does... my car is faster because it always beats yours.
Grasping at the technical difference between "faster" and "quicker" in claiming that your car is faster than mine would elicit this...
