Anyone who is not a stranger to the drag strip, will understand that it's not like this car is going to be literally banned from all drag racing. That said, all it would take, is adding a cage & a few safety items and you're set for NHRA sanctioned events. If a person can afford the car, they can afford to tailor the remaining bits to suit their needs. |
It is a
fail if said car can not go to the drag strip and run the number without getting kicked out...turn off the mopar blinders man, I wasn't knocking the cars ability, but to say this car can run 9.65, but if you try to do it you will get booted from the track is pretty lame if you ask me...
Not too sure to many owners are going to cut up their $100,000 cars to put in a cage either...
More marketing fail is how they call it "the fastest production car". It's not even close...fast = speed, top speed of this will be far off many high end cars. From what I read, top speed is lower than the Hellcat. If they were referring to the trap speed, they are wrong there too, as the P1, LaFerrari and 918 all trap higher. Maybe it is the quickest in the 1/4 mile now, that is what they should have said...at least until the new Bugatti Chiron is tested. That is rumored to run low 9's.
Again, cool car, questionable execution.
