Actually, they do, to a point. The real name for the highway entrance ramp is an acceleration ramp. It there for people to speed up to the highway speed for easier merging. Drivers on the highway, when seeing a car entering the highway should move to the left if possible. If not they should allow the entering car to merge. Of course if that entering driver is an idiot, and stops at the highway, they're on their own.
That said, mine are the folks that choose to forego the line of cars in the exit lane, speed up to the exit and expect people to let them over, all the while blocking the forward moving right lane of the highway.
Or folks that realize at the last minute that they need that exit and cross multiple lanes. If you're in the left lane and are about to miss your exit, keep going, take the next exit and double back, it's the price of not paying attention.
