10-15 years to double 40k to 80k is a strong statement your right. 15-20 years sounds better maybe closer to 20. The only reason why I think that is because other vehicles that are old school, have appeal, and "don't quite make them like this anymore" that have shot up in value over the last 5-10 years, and actually double! Are cars like the toyota fj's and Porsche 911 air cooled. I can see the same happening with these. They aren't like corvettes, seen everywhere and bought my many people. there are no cars v10 rear wheel drive and manual with no assists. These cars will shoot up in value. Look at the mitsubishi evolution, Honda s2000, stuff like the 03 mustang cobra. Or e46 m3. Cars that were unique and nothing made equivalent to them. They stop being made and shoot up in value
