Honestly they are worlds different beyond both being GM powered RWD cars. The SS has the LS3, last gen myLink and instrument cluster, and the Zeta platform. Obviously the SS is slower and doesn't handle near the same as the 6th gen (not to say it's a slouch either). I don't think you would get bored with it, but would give you some more space and practicality when needed.
Personally I wouldn't buy an SS (unless it was being offered for 10-15k off). IMO the Charger Scat Packs are much better 4 door V8 aside from handling, but again that's me.
