For me, it kinda depends on the situation.
A bright, sunny, summer day will probably have a lot of classic rock/modern classic rock covers.
At night, I prefer nu metal/industrial type stuff. Rammstein, NiN, Rob Zombie, early Disturbed, etc.
If I'm eating up endless hours of highway on a road trip, I'll often throw on an album by The Tragically Hip or other Canadian rock band. I don't know why it is, but to me Canadian bands just seem to do better 'road music' than others.
Commuting to work on a typical day? Podcasts or the radio (specifically Southern Ontarios Best Rock: 97.7 CHTZ-FM)
