I'm really not sure how dealerships work in San Francisco, but here in Louisiana and Texas area the dealership will let you test drive and help you out in all the technical info you are interested in. So see if the S/F dealers will let you drive one. Of coarse 1st hand owners experience are also a way to get your information. Good luck!
