The plant was shut down more times than I can count. Don't quote me on this number, but something like 35,000 total were even built for 2009. We're still trying to get actual production numbers, but they were pretty scarce.

You're probably right about the price.
I guess I disagree with the cross-shopping argument because I consider the Mustang and Camaro to be essentially 2-seaters, and would expect people with kids/family/whatever to prefer the Challenger. But that's pure speculation.
And yeah, marketing would help.
