That's the entire point.
The PATS broke the rules.

Your idiomatic expression " throw out the baby with the bathwater", doesn't apply when rules are involved. This is the thinking of a pathological liar. Because part of what was done was within the rules, he believes that merits as much credit as what was done to break the rule. But the fact is, the rule was broken.
The statement was made that the other teams could film, they couldn't from the same angle the PATS did, or they would be in violation as well.
It doesn't get any more logical then that. Simple common sense.
