***UPDATE 3/30/21***
To clarify, the information below pertains to 2017 & 2018 model years. 2019 and newer switched to a different CAN bus protocol (GM-LAN).
***UPDATE 1/21/19***
There is no external amplifier in the 1SS 1LE. It has a chip amp integrated into the HMI which is located under the glovebox. You can see the location at 6m24s in this video (although the Camaro in video is not a 1SS 1LE, all 6th gens have HMI mounted in the same location):
To grab the signal digitally without amplifying the system chimes, we can use the NAV-TV M650 ($850), PAC AP4-GM61 ($200~$400), and Axxess AX-DSP/AX-DSP-X with AX-DSP-GMLAN09 harness (~$400).
FYI radio using the PAC will be mono and not stereo. The AX-DSP will lower the driverside speaker volume when chimes turn on. AFAIK no one has tried the NAV-TV on a non-Bose system.
If you have a line out converter you would like to use and don't care about loud chimes, you can try this harness:

I want to hook up a different amp to the stock speakers. I see there is a subth ump harness but we have the MRC module where an amp is supposed to be? Anyone know where it's located?
Should look like this:
