As I continued to think about it I started leaning more towards your advice. I don't feel I really NEED a truck at this point and even though I can technically afford it the money would probably be better spent towards things around the house I want or need to do. I can always get one later if the need arises.

Well, n/m this. Got a great deal on a leftover 2016 Canyon SLE crew cab and pulled the trigger. It's a dealer trade though and they have to go get it so I probably won't be picking it up until Tuesday or so. It's also black because I hate myself.
MSRP was $36,675, dropped to $35,987, and it was a $5000 select tag plus an additional $500 incentive plus $1750 in GM Card earnings for a total of $7250 off! I got them up to $16,000 on the trade also after an initial offer of $15,000 which still seemed a little low but that all in all it seemed too good to pass up.
Now I just need to pick what kind of bedliner I want since it doesn't have one.
