Kyle Shanahan lost this game for the Atlanta Falcons. While Brady did have an incredible performance in the game, the opportunity was given to him due to the horrible play calling of Shanahan.
A Jr Varsity HS coach has enough sense when you have a 25 point lead with 24 minutes left in the game, you don't throw the ball. You run it. Burn the clock.
He called only 5 rushing plays the entire second half.
Atlanta has the ball first and 10 on the NE 22 yard line with 4:40 left in the game.
You run the ball 3 times, force NE to burn their last 2 time outs, kick the FG if you don't get a first down. Your up 11 with under 4 minutes to play. NE needs a touchdown, 2 point conversion, an onside kick recovery, and 25 yards or so to get in FG range to tie. With no timeouts.
Worst play calling ever in the history of the Super Bowl.
SF 49er fans have nothing to look forward to with Shanahan taking over next season.
