Evening!
Here is the short story - I will post again in the correct location for the problems....yes, 400 miles and in the shop already.
So, back in the day....had an 85 IROC, 89 RS with 305, and multiple other F-body cars. Loved them. I am old now with kids etc.
For the past 2 years we have been living with two (2) Nissan Leaves. Yes, I did that on purpose, in preparation for a Tesla. They were great. But, I finished my MBA and said...I need a self-present.....beater Vette. Hard to find them in the righ year and mileage that grandpa isn't just sitting on or wants wayyyy too much money for....they can keep sitting. Looked at new Vettes....not spending that much.
Then, ...wow, 50th anniversary Camaro AND has same vette powerplant and back seats so the wife wont yip up a storm....done. Got rid of one Leaf and stepped back in time. Will get rid of the other leaf for a Model X or S Tesla in 1.5-2 years.
2017 50th 2SS came home a few weeks ago and it is sweet. (I live in CT and it will see a lot of garage days during the winter though...) However, after 400 miles and I was used to the auto 8 - I knew it was wrong. I have the dreaded "surge, varying rpm at cruise" etc etc etc, which all leads to torque converter issue. I will post the story in the correct form for this.
Anyways, glad to be back in forums, as well as with the old school cars and hope this goes well....not looking forward to it being molested already, but that's just the way of the road.
