One big reason the Camaro went away after 2002 is because it wasn't competitively priced with the Mustang; they HAVE to price the Camaro right at the Mustang's MSRP, for all models.

The v8 camaro needs to be within no more than a 1000 dollars of a v8 mustang. This is important. Base price of 2009 mustang gt premium is 28, 375. If you all remember an ls1 camaro was able to be had for 26k loaded. I would expect a loaded 2009 camaro ss m6 to be around 33 to 34k . Any more than this a gm is shooting themselves in the foot. With the c6 out there many dealerships will have to watch that oversticker BS because I along with many other people will say "screw you buddy I can find new vettes for that much" If you look around you can find new c6's for 41k. With the c6 auto which is basicly the same tranny that they will use here its a 1500 dollar option for the auto and that COULD be the case with the camaro. I fully inted to buy a new m6 camaro ss but I will not pay one cent over sticker, I work to hard for my money to flush it down the toilet. So most likely I will have to have wait for about a year after they are out in order to get the best deal. Iam shooting for couple grand under sticker and I hope that day come sooner than later.
